An exquisite pair of diamond earrings from the Victorian (ca1880) era! Crafted in sterling silver topped 14kt yellow gold, these incredible earrings each adorn 5 old Mine Cut diamonds at the center of a gorgeous, flowing design. A stunning open wirework link hangs below the diamond lined topper, and adorns a gorgeous bezel set diamond at the center, which appears to "float." Two more diamonds accent the bottom and top of the link, which swings from two graduated bezel set diamonds that form the topper. The various sized stones collectively weigh approximately 0.80ctw between both earrings, each one sparkling beautifully in the light with every turn. The diamonds are surrounded by a darkened silver setting, which hangs from a yellow gold leverback wire at the top, creating a wonderful mixed metals appeal. When worn, the earrings dangle with lovely movement, and deliver a gorgeous sparkle that would look incredible worn day or night!
Measurements: Each earring hangs approximately 1 1/4" long, measures a little less than 1/2" wide, and is 1/8" thick.
Condition: The overall condition of the earrings is excellent. Besides normal surface wear, there is no apparent damage to the sterling-topped gold setting. The clasped earring wires fasten securely and are in good working condition. All of the diamonds are intact and securely set.
