A gorgeous chrysoberyl and diamond ring from the Victorian (ca1880) era! Originally a Victorian stick pin, the gemstone centerpiece now rests within a handmade gold band, making this a special antique conversion piece. The cat's eye chrysoberyl has an alluring pearly green color and unique iridescent property. When turned in the light, the stone emits a shimmery flash at the center, which is visible as a vertical band that forms a "cat's eye" when caught in the light! A series of fine gold prongs hold the polished cabochon within the open-backed setting. Surrounding the chrysoberyl center is a border of sparkling mine cut diamonds set in silver. The diamond halo is belcher set above a scalloped gold filigree base. Completing the design is a smooth 14kt gold band with a split shank at each shoulder. When worn, the ring looks spectacular and would make an eye-catching addition to any collection!

Measurements:  The ring has a finger size 6, but could be easily resized up or down as desired. The chrysoberyl and diamond center piece 5/8" tall, 3/8" wide, and rests approximately 3/8" above the finger when worn.

Condition:  The overall condition of the ring is in excellent. Besides normal surface wear, there is no apparent damage to the silver-topped gold setting. The cat's eye chrysoberyl and diamonds are intact and free of chips or damage.
