This Mid Century ring is a signed piece from the 1960s by Danish artist Neils Erik From! Crafted in sterling silver, the impressive ring is quite substantial in size and bold in appearance. The stunning design features polished beads that swirl on the sides into the star shaped shoulders, while two detailed koi fish occupy the center under a smooth round ball. The natural darkened patina on the surface of the silver provides wonderful contrast and 3-dimensional depth to the design. Stamped underneath are several markings, which include: "STERLING DENMARK N.E. FROM 925 S." This versatile ring is an excellent example of the Scandinavian Modernist movement. Perfect for everyday wear, it would make a fantastic addition to any Modernist jewelry collection!
Measurements: The ring has an approximate finger size 6.75, but could be re-sized, and rests roughly 1/2" above the finger when worn.
Condition: The overall condition of the ring is excellent. Besides normal surface wear, there is no apparent damage to the sterling silver setting. There is a natural patina on the surface of the silver, which is a normal characteristic of vintage jewelry.
