A beautiful blue zircon ring from the Art Deco (ca1920) era! This lovely ring is of English origin, and has a two-tone setting crafted in white and yellow 9kt gold. Resting at the center is a natural blue zircon, which is prong set and displays a gorgeous vibrant blue color. The faceted stone has a double refraction, allowing it to catch and reflect the light beautifully when worn. It is difficult to capture the its natural brilliance in a photograph, but blue zircons are sometimes mistaken for blue diamonds due to their lively appearance and sparkle. Completing the design is a a filigree pattern below the prongs, cathedral-style shoulders, and a smooth gold band in the back, which is stamped "9CT" inside the shank. A delicate and feminine piece, it adds a wonderful pop of natural color and could make a unique gemstone engagement ring!
Measurements: The ring has a large finger size 8, but could easily be re-sized if desired. The zircon center rests about 1/4" above the finger when worn. The band measures 2mm wide.
Condition: The overall condition of the ring is excellent. Besides normal surface wear, there is no apparent damage to the mixed metals setting or to the zircon stone, which is intact and securely set.
