A stunning, particularly long strand of onyx beads from the Art Deco (ca1920) era! This fabulous necklace is comprised of the rich, onyx beads which are split in the center and separated by faceted rock crystal discs. The onyx links graduate in size, and alternating in between them are faceted rock quartz crystal beads that add a lovely sparkle! Each bead is strung on hand-knotted black thread, and the center beads are remarkably substantial, creating a fabulous statement piece! At the back of the necklace is a 14kt white gold filigree clasp, which is stamped "14K" on the hook. A wonderful example of the Art Deco era, this necklace would make a fantastic addition to any collection!
Measurements: The necklace measures 33" long, including the clasp. The largest central onyx link measures about 1" wide and 5/8" thick. The smallest link at the end measures approximately 1/2" wide and slightly more than 1/4" thick.
Condition: The overall condition of the necklace is excellent. Besides normal surface wear, there is no apparent damage to onyx or rock quartz crystal beads. The clasp is secure and in good working order.
