An outstanding contemporarily made engagement ring in the Art Deco style! This stunning piece is crafted in platinum and features a gorgeous old European Cut diamond resting in the center of an exquisite setting. The bezel set diamond weighs approximately 1.74ct and is positively radiant in person, exhibiting I color and SI1 clarity. A round border of 14 calibrated French cut sapphires surrounds the diamond to form a spectacular gemstone halo complemented by a lovely milgrain frame. With approximately 0.50ctw in total, the French cut sapphires have stunning color, creating a seamless band of deep, vivid blue. Accenting the shoulders of the ring are two baguettes weighing a cumulative approximate .14ctw, and 8 round brilliant diamonds just beneath, with a total cumulative weight of approximately .28ct. adding a gorgeous sparkle. The simple band is consistent in width around the shank and is marked "950" for metal content.
The ring was appraised by an independent and accredited GIA-certified Graduate Gemologist in January of 2023 and has a stated retail replacement value of $25,000.00. Measurements: The ring has a finger size 9 but could be resized. The sapphire and diamond centerpiece measures a little less than 1/2" tall and wide and rests 1/8" atop the finger when worn.
Condition: The overall condition of the ring is excellent. Besides normal surface wear, there is no apparent damage to the platinum setting and all of the diamonds are intact. Some sapphires show slight abrasion, commensurate with age, but nothing which is noticeable when the ring is worn, nor does it impact the integrity or beauty of the piece.
