A beautiful silver and emerald ring from the Art Nouveau (ca1900) era! This lovely ring holds an emerald cabochon at the center of a feminine sterling silver setting. The emerald is simply mesmerizing, weighing an estimated 4.00+ctw and exhibiting a translucent green color that flashes in the light. The stone is held within a bezel setting, which is backed with silver to reflect light back through the stone. Completing the design is an intricate scrolling floral motif that covers the sides and shoulders of the ring. The flowing design incorporates swirls of curvilinear cutouts with engraved accents depicting flowers, vines, and leaves, a wonderful representation of the Art Nouveau aesthetic. A polished band tapers around to the back of the ring, the inside of which is stamped "SILVER". This gorgeous statement ring would make a special addition to any collection!
Measurements: The ring has a finger size of 7 3/4, but could be resized. The ring's centerpiece measures just under 7/8" tall and rests 3/8" above the finger when worn.
Condition: The overall condition of the ring is excellent. Besides normal surface wear, there is no apparent damage to the silver setting or to the emerald, which is secure and intact.
