Edwardian Swedish Sterling Silver Jet Riviera Necklace

A beautiful riviera necklace from the Edwardian (ca1910s) era! Crafted in sterling silver, this vibrant piece features 26 faceted Oval Cut jet stones which rest in open-back prong settings. Each jet is connected to the next by small jump rings. The jet stones are a marvelous deep black color, and beautifully contrast the piece's sterling silver accents. A hidden push clasp secures the necklace, and the clasp is marked with a marker's mark that depicts 3 crowns, denoting that the piece was made in Sweden. Additionally, the push clasp features a small "S" maker's mark, which tells us that the piece was crafted in silver. A classic style in an elegant color, this necklace would be a wonderful addition to any jewelry collection!

Measurements: The necklace measures approximately 17" in total length. The jet beads measure 1/2" wide and 1/4" tall. The stones are approximately 1/16" in depth.

Condition: The necklace is in excellent condition. Besides normal surface wear, there is no apparent damage to the sterling silver setting or jet stones, and the push clasp is secure and in good working condition.
