A simply exquisite opal and diamond ring from the Victorian (ca1880) era! Made of sterling-topped 14k gold, this breathtaking ring holds a striking opal cabochon at the center of a dazzling diamond halo. The opal, which weighs approximately 7.00ctw, is prong set in gold and displays a mesmerizing range of iridescent colors in blue, green, violet, orange, and gold hues. It is surrounded by 16 sparkling old Mine Cut diamonds, which are belcher set in sterling and have a total weight of approximately 2.50ctw. The pairing of such a fiery opal with beautiful old cut diamonds is simply magnificent! An outstanding Victorian ring, it would make a very special addition to any collection, or quite a unique engagement ring!

Measurements: The ring has a finger size of 5.25 but could easily be resized. The opal and diamond centerpiece measures 7/8" tall, 3/4" wide, and has a depth of 3/8".

Condition: The overall condition of the ring is excellent. Besides normal surface wear, there is no apparent damage to the gold and sterling-topped setting or to the opal and diamonds, all of which are intact and securely set.
