Late Victorian 14k/Platinum Star Sapphire Ring 15ctw+

A stunning sapphire ring from the Late Victorian (ca1900) era! Made of vibrant 14kt gold and platinum, this lovely piece holds a beautiful star sapphire cabochon in the center. The bezel set stone weighs approximately 15ctw+ and displays a wonderful gray-blue color.  In the center, is a star that is faint but can be seen when it catches the light. Completing the design is an exceptional frame decorated with a bold motif, and each shoulder is graced with an elegant wire adornment. The shank tapers in the back and stamped with "14k" on the inside along with a small hallmark symbol. This spectacular piece is perfect for anyone looking for a substantial star sapphire!

Condition: The overall condition of the ring is excellent. Besides normal surface wear, there is no apparent damage to the yellow gold setting or to the carved star sapphire which is intact and securely set.
