A gorgeous diamond horseshoe necklace from the late Victorian (ca1880) era! The 10k yellow gold horseshoe is comprised of a diamond-encrusted horseshoe pendant and hangs from a contemporary 10k yellow gold chain. Lining the front of the horseshoe are fifteen sparkling Old European Cut diamonds resting in pinch pronged settings. The yellow gold chain, which is marked with a "C", diamond, and "10K" maker's marks complements the pendant perfectly and fastens with a secure spring ring clasp in the back. The spring ring clasp is stamped with a "497" maker's mark. It's a stunning turn-of-the-century piece, perfect for the equestrian enthusiast, and would look gorgeous worn every day!
Measurements: The chain measures approximately 16" long. The diamond horseshoe pendant hangs 1/2" long, about 7/16" wide, and around 1/8" thick.
Condition: The necklace is in overall excellent condition. Besides normal surface wear, there is no apparent damage to the gold setting. All of the diamonds are intact and securely set. The chain and spring ring clasp are both secure and in good working condition.
