A gorgeous slide necklace from the Victorian (ca1880) era! Crafted in 15k yellow gold, interlocking fancy mariner links form the chain, accented with delicate line work details throughout each link. Included on the chain is a square slide, etched on both sides with elegant shapes and lines. The slide moves easily, adjusting the placement of the chain as desired. At one end of the chain is a gold swivel clasp, making it possible to hang a complimentary pendant or locket, or simply double the chain when worn. A lovely Victorian piece, it would make a special addition to any collection!
Measurements: The chain measures 62" long from end to end, not including the watch swivel clasp, which hangs about 7/8" long in the center. The square slide measures 3/8" square and 1/4" thick. The total pennyweight of the piece is 37.7 dwt, or 58.6 grams.
Condition: The overall condition of the piece is excellent. Besides normal surface wear, there is no apparent damage to the gold chain or slide, and the tracery enamel design is intact. The slide moves easily, and the watch swivel clasp fastens securely.
