An absolutely exquisite garnet and diamond bangle bracelet from the Victorian (ca1880) era! This wide bangle is made of vibrant 15kt yellow gold and has a fantastic 3-dimensional design on the front surface. At the center of the bracelet is a round cabochon garnet stone which has a hand carved scalloped surface. Set in the center is a gold starburst that is accented with 8 old Rose Cut and an old Mine Cut. Set on each side of the center stone are 2 additional garnet stones that are tear drop shaped. Each garnet is bezel set in gold with a twisted wirework border. The bracelet is a belly front style and has an etched design that lines the edges of the bracelet and carries around the entire piece The bracelet is hinged and clasps on the side with a safety clasp for added security. This bangle would rest nicely on an average sized wrist and looks stunning on. With a strong Victorian look, it would make a perfect addition to any collection!
Measurement: The surface of the bracelet graduates in width being 1 1/8" at the widest and 1/2" on the underside. The inside opening (where your wrist would rest) measures approximately 2 3/8" wide and 1 3/4" tall.
Condition: The overall condition of this bracelet is excellent. Besides normal surface wear and a few minor scratches, there is no serious damage to the gold bracelet or to the garnet stones. The clasp is secure and the hinge is in good working condition.
