A breathtaking pair of sapphire and diamond earrings from the Victorian (ca1880s) era! Crafted in 18k yellow gold and sterling silver, the earrings begin with a simple surmount. The surmount features a prong-set round cut sapphire, which rests above a bezel-set rose cut diamond. The larger link of the earrings is oval-shaped, and is entirely encrusted with stones. The center of the link features two prong-set sapphires, and the remainder features bead-set rose cut diamonds. Overall, the sapphires have an approximate total carat weight of 2ctw. The stones have not been treated with heat and display an incredibly luxurious blue hue. The diamonds have a total carat weight of 1.75ctw. The earrings are completed by simple earring wires. A gorgeous pair, these earrings would be perfect for any special event or occasion!
Measurements: Each earring hangs 1 1/8" long (including the earrings wires) and have a width of 3/8".
Condition: The overall condition of the earrings is excellent. Besides normal surface wear, there is no apparent damage to the gold or sterling silver setting. All of the sapphires and diamonds are secure and intact. The earring wires are attached and in working order.
