A beautiful horseshoe stick pin from the Victorian (ca1880) era! This unique piece is crafted in rich 18kt yellow gold and features a delicate multi-stone horseshoe. Lining the front of the horseshoe are eleven calibrated banded agate stones which seamlessly curve along the inside. Perfectly complimenting the bold agate are seven old Rose Cut diamonds, each representing one of the 7 "nails" on the horseshoe (always 7 for good luck). Attached to the back is a long 14kt yellow gold stick pin that has a small swirled section below the horseshoe and the back is stamped with a small makers mark. This wonderful piece would look beautiful pinned to a favorite garment and is perfect for any equestrian jewelry collector!
Measurements: The stick pin measures 3 1/8" in total length. The horseshoe at the top measures 7/8" wide and tall, and is 1/8" thick.
Condition: The overall condition of the piece is excellent. Besides normal surface wear, there is no apparent damage to the gold setting and the banded agate and diamonds are intact. The stick pin is securely attached and in good condition.
