Victorian 9kt/Sterling Whippet Dog + Onyx Seal Fob Pendant

A unique and charming seal fob from the Victorian (ca1880) era! Crafted in sterling silver with 9kt yellow gold accents, this lovely seal pendant forms the shape of a charming Whippet dog head. The 3-dimensional design is highly detailed, including textured fur, a long snout, raised ears, and a stoic facial expression. A trio of yellow gold accents, including a loop atop its head, a band around the base, and a twisted rope "collar" provide a wonderful a mixed metals appeal. Feminine etching graces the surface below the collar and a smoothly polished oval-shaped onyx stone rests at the base, adding a lovely pop of rich black color to the design. Measurements: The fob hangs approximately 7/8" long (including the bail), measures 5/8" wide, and is 3/8" thick. 

Condition: The overall condition of the piece is excellent. Besides normal surface wear, there is no apparent damage to the sterling silver setting or yellow gold accents. The onyx stone is intact and securely set. The bail is secure and in good working order.
