Vintage 18k Clam Shell Drop Earrings

A fantastic and unusual pair of 18k yellow gold earrings from the Vintage (ca1970) era! These wonderful sea inspired earrings have a detailed and charming design and each begins with a simple earring post attached to a small clam shell surmount. Dangling from the surmount is a larger gold clam shell that has a wonderful 3-dimensional design. The earrings are intricately crafted with a unique pattern on the front and back, creating a very realistic look. The handmade design makes the earrings wonderfully lightweight and comfortable to wear. Fun and versatile, they would make a fabulous addition to any collection!

Measurements: The earrings hang 1" long, a little less than 3/4" wide and are 2.58mm thick.

Condition: The overall condition of the earrings is excellent. Besides normal surface wear, there is no apparent damage to the gold and the earring posts are securely attached and in good condition.
